Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Pre-Sales Manager to lead technical sales in support of our sales team and together further our efforts to be the leading supplier of Automated Building Energy Management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by establishing strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical needs, and providing tailored solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for technology and keen interest in sales to contribute to our organisation’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Demonstrations & Presentations: Conduct in-depth demos and technical presentations to prospective customers, clearly articulating product value and capabilities.
- Technical Discovery: Work with customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements and map them to the right solution.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with sales counterparts to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and assist in closing deals by addressing technical objections.
- Sales Support: Mange new client onboard including the provision of information for client ERM systems, procurement systems etc
- Sales Support: Help to automate tasks working with the sales team on continuous improvement for processes and procedures
- Trade Show: Attend and support at trade shows, webinar sessions, client visits as required to further sales
- Technical Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Emma AI SaaS platform features, integrations, and architecture.
- Customer Feedback Loop: Relay insights from customer interactions to the product and engineering teams to improve product features and roadmap.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to help build and refine go-to-market strategies and materials.
Skills
- Proven experience in technical sales or a related field, with a strong understanding of relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to tailor solutions effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Ideally HubSpot) and MS Office suite; familiarity with data analysis tools is advantageous.
- A proactive approach with self-motivation and resilience in a competitive environment.
- An understanding of the UK energy market, with a specific understanding of Metering and Data Collection services would be highly advantagious.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, information technology, or related disciplines are preferred but not essential. This role offers an engaging environment where innovation meets strategic thinking, ideal for professionals eager to advance their careers within the technology sales domain.
